Burger King Brazil Will Allow Dogecoin As payment For ‘Dogpper’ Dog Food

From now on, Burger King Brazil has adopted Dogecoin as a payment method to buy the fast-food chain’s Dogpper, a dog snack. This is just one in the latest line of established institutions that have started to accept Dogecoin as a form of payment. Hereafter, the service has been available, but users need to check the readiness of delivery in their region, the firm said.

The product called Dogpper is a dog treat that plays on the name of Burger King’s best-known menu item, the Whopper, and costs 3 DOGE, which is approximately valued at $0.60 although we hope this amount to rise in the near future of course.

The world-famous fast-food chain recommended buying up to five units per order for “availability reasons.” Users can now transfer DOGE to a Burger King Brazil wallet, but they also have the possibility to buy the dog food with fiat.

In 2019, the company had already released the product in Argentina, with the intention of offering customers something to share with their dogs when they received their deliveries. The dog snack promotion was released in July, but in any case, they do not mention about make available clients buy human food using DOGE at this time.

Regardless of where Burger king takes this in the future, it is unbelievable to know that they are open to accepting such payments. DOGE of course is met with much scrutiny, even within the crypto universe as many consider the coin a joke and would much prefer if institutions supported other coins such as Cardano, who have peer-reviewed projects before they are released for public use.

It should go without saying that no business the size of burger king makes such investments as a joke and it is encouraging that such an influential business expects their DOGE payments to increase over time.
