The CEO of Facebook and one of the most influential people on the planet Mark Zuckerberg is a fan of Bitcoin? Well, he recently shared a photo of two of his goats and revealed that one of their names was Bitcoin. This until now at least didn’t have any effect on the price comparable to the rise of Dogecoin due to the influence of Elon Musk but could this mean that Facebook is ready to adopt the world’s biggest cryptocurrency.
Considering the sheer wealth of Zuckerberg and the fact that he has called one of his goats ‘Bitcoin’ it is not unreasonable to suggest that he might own a healthy slice of crypto. When you factor in his innovative mind to the mix he does appear to be the typical poster child of cryptocurrency.
On Twitter, Morgan Creek Digital co-founder Anthony “Pomp” Pompliano was wondering if this meant if Zuckerberg was a bitcoin maximalist considering that the other goat in the picture was named Max.
Let’s hope he does indeed embrace crypto for his platforms as this would really signal a huge step towards mass adoption. Facebook has faced a lot of negative press over the past few years and this could represent an opportunity for Zuckerberg to promote himself as a man of the people.
It is difficult to think of any platform that can be more influential than Facebook. If Zuckerberg ever became deadly serious about Bitcoin or any crypto for that matter this would have the potential to change the entire landscape of the industry overnight.
